Shared Hosting
Websites that just need to be online — without a server to look after.
Shared hosting puts your site on a server we run, patch and monitor. You get cPanel, email on your own domain and your files; we look after the operating system, the web server and the updates underneath. Plans start at $1.99 a month billed yearly — and when a site outgrows shared hosting, moving it onto a VPS is a step we handle for you.
What you get
Everything a website needs, on every plan.
The plans differ in how many sites, how much storage and how many files. The tools are the same on all three.
-
cPanel control panel
Files, databases, email and domains from the control panel most web developers already know.
-
Email on your own domain
Mailboxes at your own address, working with Outlook, Apple Mail and phones, with spam filtering on incoming mail.
-
Free SSL on every site
HTTPS certificates issued and renewed automatically, so no site on your account ever shows a browser warning.
-
Daily, weekly and monthly backups
Three backup cycles, so a mistake noticed a fortnight late can still be undone.
-
Developer access
FTP and SFTP, phpMyAdmin for your databases, cron jobs and custom error pages.
-
Protection from noisy neighbours
An account that suddenly uses far more than its share is contained, so another customer’s traffic spike does not slow your site.
Built for
Sites that should not cost you a server.
Shared hosting is the right answer when a site needs to be online and looked after, but nobody wants to administer a machine for it.
- Brochure and business websites
- WordPress and other CMS sites
- Small online stores
- Staging copies of a live site
When to move up
A clear path off shared hosting.
Shared hosting has a ceiling: you share a machine, so you share its limits. When a site starts to feel that ceiling — sustained traffic, a database that needs tuning, or software that needs root — a VPS is the next step, and we move it for you rather than handing you a backup file.
- Traffic outgrows a shared machine
- You need root or custom software
- A database needs its own resources
- Compliance requires isolation
Simple, transparent pricing.
Pay yearly for the lowest price, or month to month with no commitment. Same resources either way.

FAQ
Common questions.
What is the difference between monthly and yearly billing?
Only the price. Every plan has the same resources either way. Paid monthly, ECO is $4.99, VALUE $5.99 and PRIME $8.99. Paid a year in advance, they work out at $1.99, $2.99 and $5.99 a month.
What is a file (inode) limit?
Every file, folder and email on your account counts as one inode. The limit is there so one account cannot slow the server down for everyone else. A typical WordPress site uses well under 50,000; a site that needs more is usually a sign it belongs on a VPS.
What does unmetered bandwidth mean?
We do not count or cap the data your sites transfer. It is still a shared server, so use has to fit the Acceptable Use Policy: file hosting, streaming or anything that monopolises the machine belongs on a VPS.
Can I move to a VPS later?
Yes, and we do the move. When a site outgrows shared hosting we migrate it onto a VPS for you, rather than handing you a backup file and a set of instructions.
Not sure whether you need shared hosting or a VPS?
Tell us what the site does and roughly how busy it is. We’ll say which one fits, even when the answer is the cheaper one.
